Nightwatch News is a community-driven, open cybersecurity news channel — built by practitioners, for practitioners. We exist to cut through the noise and deliver rigorous, independent reporting on the threats shaping the global security landscape.
Our Mission
Nightwatch News was founded by Umesh Krishna, a threat and incident responder with years of hands-on experience in the trenches of cybersecurity. The idea was simple: security professionals deserve better, faster, and more honest information than what mainstream media provides.
This is a community-based, open news channel. That means anyone in the security community can contribute tips, research, and analysis. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by vendors or advertisers. Display advertising on the site does not affect which stories we cover or how we cover them.
Every story we publish is grounded in primary sources — CVE databases, threat intelligence feeds, incident reports, and direct conversations with researchers, defenders, and responders. We verify before we publish, and we issue corrections promptly and transparently.
